Licensed Midwife and Certified Professional Midwife serving families with compassionate, individualized home birth care.

Owner of Refresh Birth Co.

My path into midwifery began in the broader healthcare field, where I spent over seven years supporting patients in clinical settings. During that time, I earned my Bachelor’s degree in Biology with a minor in Biochemistry, building a strong foundation in the science of the human body. While I valued that experience, I felt called to a more relational, holistic model of care — one that honors both evidence-based practice and the innate wisdom of the birthing process.

That calling led me to midwifery.

I received my midwifery license in January 2025 and have attended over 200 births, supporting women and families through pregnancy, birth, and the postpartum period. My approach is rooted in traditional, community-based midwifery care — the kind of care that prioritizes trust, continuity, and deep connection between provider and family.

I believe that birth is a normal, physiological process, and I am passionate about protecting that space while practicing with safety as my highest priority. My role is to provide skilled, attentive care, to recognize when things are progressing normally, and to act decisively when they are not. I strive to blend clinical knowledge with intuitive, hands-on support so that families feel both safe and deeply supported.

More than anything, I am honored to walk alongside mothers during one of the most transformative seasons of their lives. Whether it’s your first baby or your fifth, I am here to provide steady guidance, evidence-based care, and a calm, reassuring presence every step of the way.

Hi, I’m Claire

Meet Jenna!

Certified Nurse Midwife and owner of The Mobile Midwife San Antonio. Jenna is the supportive midwife for Refresh Birth Co.

Jenna was born and raised in Corpus Christi, Texas, and has served the San Antonio community since 2010. She is a proud member of the LGBTQ+ community, and loves supporting diverse families in her community. Jenna worked as an RN in Cardiac and Stroke centers, Labor and Delivery, and Nursery and Postpartum care throughout the course of her RN career. In 2015 she graduated from the University of Cincinnati with a Master’s Degree in Nursing, and became board certified as a CNM with the American Midwifery Certification Board. She has extensive experience working in hospital-based practice over seven years, and has cared for hundreds of families over the course of her career, welcoming hundreds of babies as a CNM. Although she is grateful for her time in hospital-based practice, she believes she has the perfect balance of respect to the progression of modern medicine while also embracing the holistic philosophy of midwifery care. Being a midwife is truly her greatest passion, and nothing gives her more joy and fulfillment. Connecting with families is probably her favorite part– as connection is one of the virtues that she believe is priority in providing wholesome care. Her sons were both conceived via reciprocal IVF. After her experience with advanced reproductive technology, she became fascinated with helping other LGBTQ+ couples with fertility and conception. Being a parent is one of her hardest and greatest accomplishments, and contributes to how she provides care to the families in her community. Having had both a hospital birth and a home birth, she is able to relate to many different experiences and provide care in a relatable and empathetic way. In her free time, Jenna enjoys spending time with her wife and three boys. She loves San Antonio culture, restaurants, and live music. She also loves learning new things and how things work. She is excited to work with you and your family!
